As the Covid-19 pandemic continues to impact our communities and foodservice industry, the safety of all participants, attendees and organizers is our primary concern.

All entries or nominations received this year will be reviewed for the 2021 Sani Awards cycle.

Whar Are the Sani Awards (Graphic) Food Safety

The Sani Awards™ promote and celebrate innovation and excellence in food safety. We welcome nominations of foodservice establishments (5-unit minimum), as well as the individuals responsible for program implementation. These awards recognize individuals in the foodservice industry that have excelled in the following food safety areas:

• Education/Training

• Innovation/Technology

• Leadership in Food Safety

• Guest Experience

The Sani Awards™ have grown from a small luncheon in their inaugural year at the 2014 Food Safety Summit to a presentation at the 2019 Food Safety Summit with 500 attendees eager to learn more about individuals and organizations who demonstrate excellence in food safety practices. In 2021, the Sani Awards™ are moving to MUFSO to highlight food safety leadership and best practices while promoting continuous improvement in best practices and technology that aid in the prevention of foodborne illness and improve the guest experience.

BEST IMPLEMENTATION OF AN INNOVATION IN FOOD SAFETY

  • Describe a training program or the development of educational tools/resources aimed at making food safety learning more engaging and motivating.
  • Demonstrate improvement in measurable results of at least 6 months after implementation.

OUTSTANDING FOOD SAFETY EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM

  • Describe a training program or the development of educational tools/resources aimed at making food safety learning more engaging and motivating.
  • Demonstrate impact in measurable results of at least 6 months after implementation.

MOVERS & SHAKERS IN FOOD SAFETY

  • Describe an initiative or program that has benefited food safety through advancements in areas such as public health, prevention of foodborne illness, employee safety & welfare, environmental responsibility or exceptional guest experience.
  • Cite/describe key leadership qualities that contributed to the success of the program.
  • Demonstrate impact in measurable results of at least 6 months after implementation.

SPECIAL AWARD: SANI PRO INFECTION PREVENTION BEST VIDEO

  • Bring your food safety experience to life with using Sani Professional product(s).
  • Share a video of no more than 90 seconds on how the Sani Professional product has helped prevent the risk of spreading infection for you, your operation and your guests.
